Recycling event needs volunteers

CLARKS SUMMIT - Borough officials are looking for volunteers to lend a hand at Saturday's tire recycling.

Residents will be dropping off tires for recycling between 8 a.m. and noon Saturday at Clarks Summit's DPW garage, 309 Davis St. Borough Councilman Patrick Williams, who is helping run Saturday's program, said he needs a few people willing to volunteer for an hour or so to help.

Any tires dropped off must be off the rim, and residents are being asked to pay $2 for each regular tire and $5 for larger tires they drop off to help cover the cost of the program.

For more information, call the borough at 586-9316.
