Lackawanna pitchers Tulaney, Gaul combine for District 17 Little League no-hitter

Matt Tulaney and Matt Gaul combined to strike out 12 batters in throwing a four-inning no-hitter, leading Lackawanna to a 19-0 victory over Sloan in the District 17 9- and-10-year-old Little League All-Star Tournament at Christy Mathewson on Friday.

Cole Stetzar tripled and Kyle Polishin doubled to highlight the offensive attack for the winners.

At Christy Mathewson, Kyle Porpiglie toss a one-hitter to lead Abington National to its victory.

Ryan Harvey, Porpiglie, Ryan Ecekevsley and Colin Huggler each had two hits for the winners.

District 32 9-10

Central City 11

North Scranton 1

At Throop, Ross Zanghi and Damien Gregorski pounded out hits to lead Central City. Devin Fanning had two hits for North Scranton.

District 32 Junior League

Tri-County 6

Green Ridge 5

At Sterling, Evan Munley's single in the top of the seventh inning scored two runs, leading Tri-County past Green Ridge. Munley finished with three hits. Kyle Troiano and Kevin Karabin each had two hits for the winners.
