Woman hit by car on Adams Avenue

SCRANTON - An 84-year-old Scranton woman suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a car on Adams Avenue on Friday morning.

Sandra Hartfuss, 49, of Scranton, was traveling in reverse in her vehicle in the 400 block of Adams when she struck Betty Louryk, who was standing in the street, said Scranton police Lt. Glen Thomas. Both women live in the 400 block of Adams.

Ms. Hartfuss was charged with driving without a license and careless driving. Ms. Louryk was transported to Moses Taylor Hospital.
