WILKES-BARRE - Officials from the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry, Luzerne County commissioners and the Luzerne County Diversity Commission announced a partnership to raise awareness of the importance of completing 2010 U.S. Census questionnaires. The questionnaires will arrive in the mail or be hand-delivered to all residents in March 2010.

Local officials said having a complete and accurate count directly affects resources available to Luzerne County. Census results are the basis for the distribution of federal, state and local funds amounting to more than $400 billion annually.
