Cheerleading for 66th at 86
Virginia Illuzzi-Belson of Dalton got her cake and cheer followed when she returned to Reading Central Catholic's stadium for the school's 66th homecoming.
Alumni were invited to see the Cardinals football team play Schuylkill Valley, and to celebrate "Miss Illuzzi's" 86th birthday.
Officials asked Virginia to toss the coin at the beginning of the game. (Her team won the toss but lost the game.) At halftime, the cheerleaders served a big birthday cake and Virginia led a cheer.

At Muhlenberg, the University of Scranton women's basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Scotty Wood Tournament for the second time in three years by knocking off Alvernia College, 57-47.
Riverside graduate Jennifer King scored 15 of her game-high 19 points in the first half as the Lady Royals jumped out to a 34-22 lead at half. Megan Kopecki had 14 points and five rebounds and Tayler Pallotta from Dunmore added 10 points and six rebounds.
