Vigil to honor victims of abuse

SCRANTON - Friendship House will hold a candlelight vigil Monday night for children and families who have experienced sexual and physical abuse.

The event, scheduled for 5 p.m. at Lackawanna County Courthouse Square, is co-sponsored by the Children's Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Speakers will include agency representatives and the district attorney's office. Children and parents dealing with the repercussions of abuse and loss will also share their experiences. For information, contact Friendship House at 342-8305, ext. 1075.
